Read on to discover who’ll be playing live…

Ghosts Of Our Former Selves combine soul, beats and electricity, an awesome live act. The band have just finished their new album and it will be coming out this year, with plenty of videos and singles before then. The record will be launched via their label Red and Green Records with Absolute Music as their distributor – they work with artists like Krept and Conan, Lethal Bizzle, Nitin Sawhney, Beverley Knight.

We love playing at the Troub as it’s a great old music space and it gets seriously crowded and funky.

Interesting facts…Theo co-wrote and sung on Push Up by the Freestylers and was in Sony signed band Heist, he’s toured with Beyonce and Elton said on meeting him: “You have the voice of an angel”. Fred has worked with lots of legendary record producers Robin Millar (Producer of Sade, Everything But The Girl, Fine Young Cannibals and Randy Crawford ) and Gus Gudgeon (Producer of “Space Oddity” by David Bowie and 14 Albums by Elton John). He is a complete jazz head and we suggest people seek him out and ask Jazz questions. Sanderson Rocha, our Brazilian guitarist, started as a jazz guy and now he is true soul and funk (he was already really) master. Keshav, bass player, is famous for his head bop and Jonathan the drummer grew up in Kent.

Soulmaze Band London - four musicians against grey brick wall

SOULMAZE //

Soulmaze are a group of London-based, international musicians. The band formed in January 2013 as a consequence of a bunch of musicians seeking to share their styles, influences and ideas.

The music could be described as a smooth mix of soulful, jazziness with hints of pop, fusion & funk. Our aim is to share a positive message with our lyrics & a smooth vibe with our melodies, serving both on feel-good rhythms.
